Welcome to the Salón TENAMPA
Our history
Juan I. Hernández founded the “Tenampa” Hall in 1925, the same year that mariachi music arrived at the plaza we know today as Garibaldi. With the “Mariachi Cocula” of Concepción “Concho” Andrade, and the “Mariachi Reyes” of José Reyes, the musical tradition of Mexico City’s Garibaldi Plaza began that year, and the legend of Tenampa was born.
